Tourist Activities began as a two-piece composing winsome pop songs. Accompanied only by a drum machine, songwriter Bailey Melton and guitarist Kell Jacobson recorded a lo-fi demo in their apartment before seeking out other members. Joined by Chris Hansche on bass and Chris Glaser on drums, Tourist Activities started playing shows in Seattle as a four-piece. Wistful vocals, sparkling guitar, resonant bass lines, and propulsive drums, all glued together by swirling reverb, combine into Tourist Activities' introspective yet expansive sound. Not wanting to be tied to any genre, Tourist Activities' songs range from demure living-room pop to muffed-out grunge.
